On Tuesday 13 May 2025, the unique Masterclass “Rice in the Sweet World”, organised by DOP Rice of Valencia at the Centro de Turismo de València (CdT), was a great success. The audience had the opportunity to discover new, creative aspects of European rice from Valencia through sweet recipes of high gastronomy.
This special experience was guided by award-winning chef Carito Lourenço and pastry chef Nikolaos Boikos, who presented innovative techniques and impressive flavours based on European rice. Participants watched live demonstrations and had the opportunity to taste the creations, exploring the role of European rice in pastry.
The Masterclass highlighted the versatility of DOP Valencia European rice and its value in modern cuisine, including in the world of desserts. Many thanks to all those who participated!
