EU Rice, visited Spain, from October 18th to 21st at Salón Gourmets in Madrid.
The program with the distinctive title EU RICE, is implemented by the Agricultural Corporate Partnership of Thessaloniki (EASTH) and the Consejo Regulador de la DOP Arroz de Valencia (PDO Valencia Rice Regulatory Authority). The event presented the contribution of rice cultivation to the preservation of wetlands, the utilization of abundant water resources, the preservation of soil sustainability and in general the ecological balance, but also in the socio-economic development of its cultivation and production areas.
Salón Gourmets is the biggest Fine Food and Beverages Fair in Europe and one of the most prestigious in the world. With a history of 33 consecutive events, growing numbers and a purely commercial spirit, it is the most visited by national and international professionals in the gastronomic sector: restaurants, hotels, distributors, catering and specialized wholesalers and retailers.
