From November 18 to 21, an educational trip was organized in Thessaloniki with journalists from Spain, with the aim of informing and exchanging knowledge about sustainable rice cultivation. Participants had the opportunity to visit rice fields in the area, learn about local practices, and understand the close relationship between rice production and environmental protection.
During the trip, experts in the field of agriculture and the environment presented the crucial role of Natura 2000 sites, explaining how they contribute to the preservation of biodiversity. At the same time, they highlighted how agricultural production can evolve while respecting nature, by implementing practices that promote balance between the land and the ecosystem.
This trip was an important opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas, strengthening cooperation between Spain and Greece and highlighting the shared commitment to a future where agriculture and nature coexist in harmony.
