On September 27-29, an Educational trip took place in Thessaloniki within the framework of the EURICE program. During this event, journalists and opinion leaders had the opportunity to explore the rice growing area, as well as to learn about the sustainable cultivation practices of this important product.
The trip included visits to rice farms, where participants were informed about the modern techniques used in rice production, as well as the challenges faced by farmers in the region. Participants also had the opportunity to talk with local producers, who shared their experiences and knowledge about the sustainability and quality of rice production.
This educational initiative aimed to raise the awareness of journalists and opinion makers about the importance of sustainable rice cultivation and to promote European rice at national and international level. In this way, participants gain valuable knowledge that will help them inform the public through their articles and broadcasts, thereby helping to spread the benefits of sustainable agriculture.
