  • PDO Rice of Valencia  

PDO VALENCIA rice is an initiative of a group of rice and flour producers who wanted to increase the value of local products. It is cultivated in the area of Albufera Park, in the province of Valencia and in the Almenara wetland. The protected rice varieties include Senia, Lagoon and Bomba, whose grains are round – shaped, of small and medium size. These are varieties that have been fully adapted to the area’s productive cycles and climatic conditions. This adaptation contributes to a balanced cultivation, which is especially important to ensure the best possible quality of the final product, as it reduces the use of pesticides and other inputs during production.

  • European Rice Produced In Greece

Glazed and Ronaldo rice are the main rice varieties with outstanding character and exceptional qualities. These medium grain rice varieties are very well adapted to the Mediterranean climate. With specific characteristics, such as an average size of 6mm and extremely low percentage of grain damage (lower than 0,5%), these varieties release the ideal amount of starch, withholding its texture and firmness. When cooked, they present an independent, yet creamy and velvety texture. These types of rice are perfect for pilafs as well as for creamy rice recipes.
